Polar F11 Activity Watch
I am starting to like online shopping entirely too much. Anyone who knows me knows that I can turn shopping into a triathalon of sorts;you definitely need endurance, stamina, and power to shop with me. So for me to find the enjoyment in online shopping that I now do, is a little shocking. Here’s a big reason why I love it: getting packages in the mail. I feel like I am being sent a present, and that makes me feel special.
So my latest “present”, is the Polar F11 Activity Watch. What I love, besides it’s obvious heart rate feature ( after all, that is it’s primary function) But the ability to track your caloric expenditure throughout your workouts. Here’s a pic as well as a link where to buy it. I will write more later. But to all my clients who are reading this, BUY THIS WATCH! it’s not even going to be an option, because I will slowly make you either fall in love with mine by obsessively talking about it during our sessions or just embed the want for this watch into your subconscious and you will just end up ordering it anyway.

Here is the link to buy:

Stumble it!
OK already I am buying the watch right now!
So I was playing with my F11 today and you can upload all the data that is on your watch to your PC. You just need a microphone. I am totally getting a microphone ASAP so I can try this. How cool.
OK — I got the microphone. It was a pain at first but I finally figured it out. You all have to so get this watch and upload your data to you PC — so cool!!!!
I ran across this blog as I was Googling F-11. I have a Polar Coach, and I’ve owned a heart rate monitor for about 10 years. The F-11 has some additional features that appeal to my magpie tendencies! I’ve ‘used’ it for considerably less time–but used it extensively when I turned 40. Once I sprained my back water skiing, I fell off the fitness trail. I turn 50 in two years, so I’m on a fit by 50 kick! I dusted off my monitor, pulled out my heart zone training books, re-tooled my software (for the downloads) and set up my excel spreadsheets (to monitor time in zones).
I think that heart rate monitors are an essential tool to fitness training–it will prevent you from over training as well as under training. Moreover, seeing how your fitness level increases (more work with less load on your heart) is very satisfying.
Cher, it is wonderful to see your enthusiasm for this and to find your blog as a resource for my own training/motivation! Jenn…good luck with your fitness quest! You will find your hrm a great partner. Sally Edward’s has written several books on hrm training.
